One of the most important places to connect with others is at school. Reach Out holds assemblies at local elementary schools, junior high schools and high schools in Utah County to help children and teenagers learn how to reach out to each other and build friendships and connections with those around them. During these assemblies we will discuss a number of ways you can reach out to those around you at school.
Some of the ways you can connect with individuals and groups through school include:
- Forming a kindness club
- Peer-to-peer interactions, such as a “grandma bench”
- Stress relief, such as yoga or meditation
- Bibliotherapy (book clubs which help you connect to others and to great literature)
- Reach Out to our mobile units and join a power session during school hours
If you are interested in bringing any of these things to your school or community make an appointment with our program scheduler and we will be in touch shortly.
Connect with us through our online appointment scheduler. We look forward to meeting you soon!
Don’t forget! Connections go both ways. You can reach out to others in person, through text or email, or over social media. Invite a friend to a Reach Out event to begin reaching out to individuals and your community!
